Coach - Richard Hughes

My sporting background is rugby playing locally at junior level then from youth up playing for Northampton saints and rugby lions, progressing to playing county, divisional and international level. I bring a strong background in power and speed work to assist all levels of people. Since completing my BTF level 1 coarse I’ve enjoyed encouraging all types of people from all walks of life to get involved in the sport of triathlon. I am working towards my level 2 and am actively involved with our growing and vibrant junior section. Coach Richard, running !

Coach - Debi Coles

Debi has been competing in triathlons for over five years. Beginning, as most people do, with super sprint and sprint distances and slowly progressing (in distance, if not speed) to longer distance races. Her greatest triathlon achievement was completing the Lanzarote Ironman in 2008 in 15hrs 26mins. The attached photo demonstrates that she truly achieved her goal of “getting round and finishing with a smile on her face”. Keen to give something back to the sport that has given her so much, Debi decided to train as a coach and qualified as a BTF assistant coach in December 2007. Since then she has predominately supported the junior section coaching children from age 7 – 16 both at the track where they practice cycling and running skills and in the pool. Run

White man came across the sea
He brought us pain and misery
He killed our tribes, he killed our creed
He took our game for his own need

We fought him hard we fought him well
Out on the plains we gave him hell
But many came too much for cree
Oh will we ever be set free?

Riding through dustclouds and barren wastes
Galloping hard on the plains
Chasing the redskins back to their holes
Fighting them at their own game
Murder for freedom a stab in the back
Women and children and cowards attack

Run to the hills run for your lives
Run to the hills run for your lives
