National Team Relays
Team Cherwell elite team to compete with the other big clubs? Well we’ve always been top of the stakes when is comes to cheering and shouting at the relays, perhaps its time to test our athletic ability and show we are a force to be reckoned with amongst some of the UK’s biggest clubs. This idea was raised at the AGM and discussed further at subsequent committee meetings, and we all think it’s a good idea - given the quality of some of our athletes we are confident that we can field a strong team. But it’s up to you……anyone who is interested in being considered for the Team Cherwell elite team, please let me know. Depending on numbers, age and gender of the volunteers we will then decide which category to enter and whether we need to run a trial for entry into the team.
Grand Prix races
start with the Warwick Aquathlon on 11 April. If you haven’t already entered, do so before its too late. This is proving to be a very popular race and looks like it’s going to be taken over by red and yellow!
Team Kit
If you need race or leisure kit, speak to Mike Beale or email him. He’s sourced some great quality stuff for both adults and juniors. Photos of Team Cherwell members modelling kit will soon be posted on the website.
Cycling Time Trials
start Wednesday 8 April with the 2 Up. Register before 6.30pm at layby outside DraytonSchool. See the Banbury Star website for more details Banbury Star. To sign up to marshal at a time trial see Kim or John Shaw.
Team Cherwell Website
IT literate volunteers needed. We are looking for someone to administer the Team Cherwell Forum. It’s not a big job, just an hour or so here and there to keep it up to date and tidy. Drop Debbie Coles an email if you’d like to help out
